With Microsoft discontinuing their support of Windows 7 on January 14, 2020, many institutions are requiring that their lab equipment computers be upgraded to Windows 10. For some OEMs this is either not possible or a massive obstacle to overcome. Not for Stratedigm.
Since 2018, our flow cytometers and automation systems have shipped with the latest 64-bit Windows 10 operating system. For our existing users that were previously on Windows 7 and required an update, we performed a simple on-site upgrade. This can even be accomplished 100% remotely—a very important benefit with today’s social distancing restrictions. For users that are under service contract, their compatible PC hardware can have its Windows operating system upgraded at no charge.
Our full analysis and acquisition software, CellCapTure, has similarly had 2 years of commercial compatibility verification on Windows 10. While under service contract, any updates for CellCapTure that are compatible with the user’s existing hardware are included free of charge. What’s more, CellCapTure is also incredibly easy to update: minor updates can be completed by users or remotely by a service engineer in less than a minute and most major updates take just a few minutes to complete.
