Shervin Javadi

Co-Founder and CEO

Shervin Javadi is the Chief Executive Officer at Stratedigm, Inc. He co-founded the company with Rosa Chang in November 2004, where they successfully commercialized the first platform-based, high-end, compact, and energy-efficient flow cytometer.

Shervin has close to two decades of experience in product development, project management, new business development, and IP strategy for high-tech and biotech companies. He specializes in leading and managing international consortiums, product development of complex, multi-disciplinary systems including MEMS (micro-electromechanical systems), and contract negotiations for multi-million-dollar projects.

Prior to starting Stratedigm, Shervin served as the Director of Engineering at Speck Design, where he helped companies and entrepreneurs develop new ideas into commercial products. He also served as the New Business Development Manager at Lumileds, the Hardware Manager and Fluidics Team Leader at BD Biosciences, where he aided in the design and development of the FACSCanto and FACSAria, and a Project Manager at Fluidigm. Shervin holds several patents in the fields Cytometry, MEMS, and lab on the Chip technology.

Shervin holds a master’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Santa Clara University, in addition to a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with minors in biology and chemistry from San José State University.

Rosa Chang

Co-Founder and President

Rosa Chang is the President at Stratedigm, Inc. She co-founded the company with Shervin Javadi in November 2004, where they successfully commercialized the first platform-based, high-end, compact, and energy-efficient flow cytometer. 

A “flow cytometry evangelist,” Rosa enjoys working with young engineers, especially women and minorities, in her role as a pro-bono Academic Advisor for the Department of Mechanical Engineering at San José State University, where she received the Alumni of the year award in 2009.

Rosa specializes in New Product Introduction, product development, and business strategy. Before starting Stratedigm, Rosa was the Engineering and Operations Manager at Naturemill. During her tenure at BD Biosciences, she helped design FACSCanto’s flowcell and led the product optimization team for the FACSAria. Prior to BD, she served in several technical positions at Mirapoint, Network Appliance, and Polycom.

Rosa holds a master’s degree in business administration, a master’s degree in engineering operations, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from San José State University.
